A new company. Not new people.
Impact was formed in 2026. The people running it have spent decades putting fundraisers and sales reps in front of other people, and that experience is the reason the company exists. Those are two separate facts, and we keep them separate.
- Founded 2026, by designA new entity with its own registrations, its own insurance and its own contracts. We'd rather answer the question about our age than inherit someone else's answers.
- Decisions get made in the USThe person who can change your campaign is in the same country, on the same clock, and has run a crew.
- Everyone in the field is oursW-2 employees on our payroll, trained and certified by us. No subcontracted crews, no 1099 workarounds.
Jean Broaddus, founder.
Twenty-five years in face-to-face fundraising and field sales, which started with her knocking on doors herself. Client services, then account management, then running operations for direct sales companies, then leading these programs in the United States. She founded Impact to run them the way she had spent two decades arguing they should be run.
Everything she knows about this work she learned by doing it badly first and then better. That is also how Impact trains people, and it is why the career path on this site starts at representative and ends at running a market.
The whole business is this: who you put in front of someone, and what happens after they say yes.
Three companies, commonly owned, separately run.
You can buy any one of them on its own. Most organizations start with one and add the others when they're worth paying for.
Impact trades through two operating companies: Tenure Partners LLC, doing business as Impact Fundraising, on the nonprofit side, and Last Mile Direct LLC, doing business as Impact Direct, on the commercial side. The nonprofit entity is registered as a professional solicitor in the states where it fundraises. See what the group does →
The parts nobody asks about until something goes wrong.
Filed before anyone speaks
State solicitor registrations, surety bonds, campaign filings and local permits are in place before a single conversation happens. It sets the launch date, so we start there.
You know who is speaking for you
Every person in the field is trained, certified and wearing photo ID, on our payroll with taxes withheld. You can name them.
Every sign-up verified three ways
A digital thumbprint signature, an SMS confirmation and a recorded verification, before a donor or customer counts.
Markets, and the rules in each one.
The law that governs a conversation at someone's door is state and city law, and it is not close to uniform. These pages set out what actually applies where we run.
Atlanta, Georgia
Three separate registrations — the charity, the agency, and every canvasser by name — and nobody may solicit in person until the Secretary of State qualifies them.
SEE THE ATLANTA RULES →Detroit, Michigan
A state licence and bond with the Attorney General, individual solicitor registration, and suburban do-not-knock registries that must be re-checked daily.
SEE THE DETROIT RULES →Houston, Texas
Almost no state regulation at all, which is its own problem. What we hold ourselves to where Texas doesn't make us.
SEE THE HOUSTON RULES →We also run teams in Phoenix, Charlotte and Washington DC. New markets open on client demand.
Ask us the hard questions.
Entity age, references, insurance, what happens when a rep gets it wrong. We'd rather answer them now than in a procurement review.
